UP ROTC Manila Campaign 2012

UP ROTC Manila campaign during the Freshmen Orientation organized by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) last May 4-14, 2012 at the UP College of Dentistry Auditorium was a success.

Attended by Freshmen from all courses and colleges in UP Manila and their parents, the Orientation started with the singing of the National Anthem followed by the Opening Remarks of Dr. Honey Labore, OSA Director.  Thereafter, 10 speakers from the different programs and offices in UP Manila gave talks pertaining to their offices and services provided to students.  NSTP Director Dr. Tristan Ramos gave an overview of what students will expect from NSTP; he also pointed that there are 3 components of the program being offered in UP Manila - CWTS, LTS and ROTC.

For ROTC, Ma'am Sheryl Sollestre of the Training Assistance Group gave a brief introduction on the program followed by an AVP containing activities of the students in the previous Training Year (TY 2011-2012).  Cadets also participated in the orientation by giving testimonials of their experiences in the Corps.

At the closing of the Orientation week, the Corps was able to generate an unofficial count of 98 students enlisting with the program.  The final count shall be made available in the next coming days as cadet volunteers tally and verify the data gathered from the 7-day orientation.

Hi just stumbled upon your website via Google after I entered in, "Blogger: UPM ROTC" or perhaps something similar (can't quite remember exactly). In any case, I'm delighted I found it simply because
your content is exactly what I'm searching for (writing a university paper) and I hope you don't mind if I collect some
information from here and I will of course credit you as the reference.

Thank you.
